Dan Blair has many years of experience as a financial advisor. He is an independent investment adviser with Horizon Wealth. Dan helps affluent individuals and business owners obtain and preserve their wealth. Dan has always had a strong faith in God. He believes that God instructs all of us to be good stewards of our money and he has committed himself to achieve the success that God has planned for clients’ financial lives. Dan is passionate about giving back and helping others.

When Dan is not working, he spends his time with his wife Melissa, daughter Mia, and dogs, Rubie and Wally. You might also see him fly fishing in a trout stream or with an apron on, cooking for friends and family. Dan is an active member of his church and volunteers at local food banks. Dan also enjoys the outdoors, including camping, backpacking, and boating with his friends and family.

Melissa Blair

Owner, Founder, Director of Operations

Melissa is a Colorado native who has spent the last 15 years in the Denver metropolitan area. She spent most of her career in the human resources profession, where she excelled and developed her leadership and organizational skills. Melissa’s extensive human resources background has been essential in her ability to successfully manage customer relations and ensure quality productivity as well as enhancing operational procedures. Melissa’s work ethic and commitment to her work are unmatched and are an asset to the clients and Horizon Wealth.

When Melissa is not working, she enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle. She loves being outdoors exploring the Colorado mountains and the Denver area with her husband, Dan, and, of course, her two Swiss Mountain dogs, Wally and Rubie. Melissa’s kindness and compassion for others is reflected in her work and in her ability to develop meaningful relationships.

Logan Smith

CFP, Wealth Advisor

Growing up in a small town on the Colorado plains, Logan learned firsthand the challenges of rural economic life. His upbringing instilled in him a deep appreciation for hard work and a drive to help others achieve financial security. This passion led him to become a financial advisor, dedicated to assisting individuals attain their financial freedom.
With over a decade of experience in financial planning, he has had the privilege of working with clients in all walks of life and training other advisors to excel in their roles. Before joining Horizon, he served as a Branch Manager and Financial Advisor at Raymond James and an Investment Consultant at Charles Schwab. These roles have equipped him with a wealth of knowledge and expertise to guide his clients effectively.

His approach to financial planning centers on creating a clear, focused process that turns aspirations into achievable goals. This clarity brings peace of mind to his clients, allowing them to rest easy knowing that their dreams are within reach.

When not working, you might find him exploring trails or immersed in a woodworking project, enjoying the satisfaction of creating something tangible and lasting.

Jack Vogel

Jack is an independent investment advisor and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® with Horizon Wealth. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia and has been in the business since 2018. Jack is dedicated to helping his clients with all their financial needs by helping to put them in a better financial position and providing them with personalized service. His genuine and outgoing personality can be contagious and help make people feel supported and valued.

Family and friends are a significant part of Jack’s life. He followed his older sister and moved to Colorado in 2022 from his hometown of St. Louis, MO. He loves having family in Colorado and enjoys it when his parents visit. He hopes to convince his parents to invest in a retirement home in Colorado. He first became enchanted with Colorado when he visited in the summer as part of his journey to earn his Eagle Scout rank. He has fond memories of beautiful hikes and great times with friends.

When Jack is not working, he enjoys spending time with his Australian cattle dog, Cleo. He spent many years playing the drums and continues to be passionate about music. Reading self-improvement and fantasy books is another pastime for Jack. He admires and takes after his grandfather, who is an avid reader and is always learning and improving himself.

Corie Lawrence

Corie grew up in Colorado and attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in English/creative writing. After graduation, she started her career in customer service and account management. Her passion for building relationships has kept her in that field for eight years. Corie is very detail oriented and is excited to use her experience to support clients and broaden her knowledge of the financial industry with Horizon Wealth.

Corie met her husband, Billy, in high school, and they have a healthy, beautiful 3 year old girl, Rilynn. Corie loves being a mom and spending time with her dog, Roxie. When Corie is not working, she enjoys rooting for the Alabama Crimson Tide and Denver Broncos. She loves spending time outdoors with her family and friends, camping, fishing, and hiking. In her quiet time, she loves writing stories about her personal experiences. Corie is grounded by her strong faith and her ability to develop meaningful relationships in both her personal and professional life.

Ben Smith

Ben Smith joins Horizon Wealth as a valued partner as President of Vision Wealth, operating seamlessly alongside our team to deliver exceptional financial planning. His leadership and client-focused approach strengthen our collective mission to provide tailored wealth management solutions.

Ben started investing in the year 2000 and began his career in the financial service industry in 2007, so balancing conservation with opportunity is a core priority in all his planning. He has previously partnered at Summit Wealth as well as Ashton & Associates. He first started his own independent firm in 2017 and believes in the strategies they provide with greater flexibility and agility.

As the founder and leader of Vision Wealth, he strives to never lose sight of the original goal, which is to simply treat others as he’d want to be treated if he were in their shoes. Ben knows how diligently our clients work for their money and takes his independent responsibility to those clients seriously. He enjoys the challenges and complexities that come with managing money and helping clients prepare and plan for their retirement.

Ben’s greatest passion in life is his family, which includes his wife and their two children. Together, they enjoy exploring new hobbies for the kids, as well as hiking, biking, traveling, and, of course, overcoming new challenges.

Megan Smith

Megan Smith aligns with Horizon Wealth as a key partner through Vision Wealth, bringing her expertise in operations and marketing to enhance our client experience. Her collaborative spirit and dedication to excellence make her an integral part of our extended team.

A graduate of Brigham University with a Bachelor of Science and a master’s degree from Western Oregon University, Megan has been vital in creating the systems and look that Vision Wealth clients have come to know and love. She oversees our marketing and social media and works closely with Melissa to make sure our clients’ and employees’ needs are taken care of.

She enjoys working with her husband, Ben, but her greatest accomplishment is their two children, Aria and Austin. Community is important to Megan, as she has devoted the last 15 years of her life to being the Head Coach of the Central High School Cheer team, winning two state championships along the way.

Melissa has worked in client and customer service for over 25 years. With a background in office management, she loves working closely with clients, getting to know them, and cultivating a life-long relationship with them and Vision Wealth. Melissa has known Ben for over 16 years and knows how passionate he is about doing what’s right for his clients, which is why she enjoys working with him.

When not at the office, you can find Melissa spending time with her husband and two beautiful daughters. They love the outdoors, concerts, and attending sporting events. In the fall, you will often find them cheering on their favorite team at Autzen Stadium! Go Ducks!
